Raising money for the BOLTON HOSPICE - thank you to all those people who donated in lieu of flowers and to Helen for her brilliant idea of selling Gill's Pink nail polish in aid of the Hospice. My beautiful, darling Gilly was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March 2004. For the next six years she was determined to live as normal a life as possible between courses of chemotherapy, so she carried on working, except when she couldn't, put on her lipstick and her bright pink nail varnish and we got on with our lives. Strange to say but those six years were some of our best because she made them so.

However, by 2010 she was weary of the constant round of treatment and decline, and after a number of setbacks she passed away very peacefully at the Bolton Hospice on 9th July.
