 I survived the Greater Manchester Marathon 2014 and decided to keep on running for NIA until people stop giving. Why not?!

NIA is an amazing charity that provides a range of services for women, children and young people who have experienced violence.  NIA do this though:

·      Working to end violence against women and children

·      Informing and influencing policy and public awareness

·      Offering advocacy, support and counselling after rape and sexual    assault

·      Run schools/youth projects to help young women identify and avoid sexually exploitative bullying and behaviour

I think it's a crucial and worthwhile cause to run for, know about, reflect on and donate to, especially with: the shocking statistics of the number of assaults committed, not to mention the paucity of convictions; the stories we see sensationalised and reported wrongly on a daily basis in the media; the fear women and children experience etc.  Please visit NIA's web site (www.niaendingviolence.org.uk) for details of their aims and objectives, successes and testimonials etc to see what a difference your contribution would make.
