Story
Thanks for visiting our Chilterns 3 Peaks fundraising page.
My sister Alison, her dog Tal & I are going to ‘Walk the Chalk’ by taking part in the Chiltern 3 Peaks Challenge, a 9 mile sponsored walk along the Ridgeway in aid of Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, taking in Whiteleaf Cross, Coombe Hill & Ivinghoe Beacon.
For those of you who don't know, - it was thanks to the wonderful Iain Rennie Hospice at Home that allowed Bill to spend his last weeks at home with me & our boys, & not have to be hospitalised, which would have distressed him enormously. Thanks to Iain Rennie's wonderfully calm & caring nurses, whilst our world was thrown into such sudden turmoil, Bill was able to die with dignity, in safe & familiar surroundings, supported by so many of our family & those who loved him. We can't thank Iain Rennie Hospice enough. Alison & I hope that by Walking the Chalk other families will be able to benefit from their special care & so allow terminally ill loved ones to die peacefully in their own homes.
