Over 40 years ago my Mum was diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to the care at The Christie she survived and is still going strong - for this I will be forever grateful.

I am now lucky enough to work at The Christie and I see everyday how important it is to fundraise, to allow new treatments to be developed so more families like mine can have more tomorrows with their loved ones.

Last year my friend and colleague was diagnosed with breast cancer. She asked me to join her team to run the Greater Manchester 10km race this year to raise vital funds for the hospital. Of course I said yes, if she can run it after everything she's been through, who was I to say anything other than yes!

I am training hard and would be really grateful if you could spare any money to sponsor me for this amazing cause!
