Support Dogs is a national charity dedicated to increasing independence and improving the quality of life for children and adults affected by autism, epilepsy and physical disability. We train specialist assistance dogs to achieve this.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've signed up for my first marathon - and am really excited (but with a side of terrified!).  I would be so grateful for your support.  It will keep me going when I'm training in the 'beautiful' winter weather as I get to 20 miles and realise I still have another 6 to go... :/

I'm running for Support Dogs, a charity that trains dogs to assist and support their owners.  They train Disability Assistance Dogs, Seizure Alert Dogs and Autism Assistance Dogs.  The work they do really is life changing for a lot of people.  Their website can be found at http://support-dogs.org.uk/Home

I've pledged £1,000 to Support Dogs, and really don't want to let them down. Any help you can offer would be brilliant (and you'll be able to go about your day feeling good about yourself for being so charitable :) ).

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Just a little 'fine print' - if I break my leg and can't run this year, please note that your donation will still be passed to Support Dogs. I hope that you won't mind this and will do my very best to remain in one piece!
