It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

In April this year, our great friends, sisters Victoria and Rachel, along with their two other sisters Donna and Lauren, were given the devastating news that their beloved father, Roy Blackmore, had been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.  Vic and Rach have both been fantastic friends over the years, and now it is time for me to repay them for their kindness.

Having run in a number of charity events previously, including the London Marathon twice, I felt it was time to dig out the running shoes again and try to do my bit towards helping Roy with his treatment of this disease, through raising funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Pancreatic Cancer is the most fatal cancer, and the charity is committed to improving survival rates.  Their fundraising is used mainly for research, particularly to improve early detection, diagnosis and treatment, and the quality and length of life of patients.  They also run a support network for the families and friends of patients.

So, please donate as much as you possibly can to this great charity - I'm doing this for Roy and his wonderful family.

Thank you

Gill
