Story
As many of you know our lovely dad suffered from Vascular dementia as a result of strokes he had four years ago. he had been doing really well & manging to to cope at home with help from us all
This all changed on January 5th 2011 when overnight he developed an infection.
His dementia has been exacerbated by the infection to an extent where he can no longer live on his own & needs full time nursing care .He now inhabits his own world that often makes no sense to us. We are fortunate that he does know who we are, where as some people who suffer from dementia don't recognise their loved ones
So I now have lost my mind ( So Alan says) & have decided to do something so out of my comfort zone to raise money to support the work done by the Alzheimer's society
On the weekend of June 4 2011 I will be taking a leap of faith ( literally ) and undertaking a tandem sky dive from 10,000ft
I am hoping I will be attached to a hunky bloke who in turn will have a parachute that opens!!!
So please help me raise the £1500 target I have now set myself ( It was £400 then £800 but have already passed it so I have increased my target even higher to a whopping £1500)
The Alzheimer's society helps people with all forms of dementia in so many ways
