<p>Eeek!&nbsp; I'm really doing it! After 7 years of injuries or not getting a place, I'll be joining the other 35000 people running the Virgin London Marathon 2012 on the 22nd April!</p> <p>I'm raising funds for Surrey Air Ambulance - to keep this wonderful service going - they have to raise &pound;5 million every year, mainly by events and private donations from the public.</p> <p><span>Responding to 999 calls and operating from Dunsfold in Surrey and Marden in Kent, the helicopters fly at speeds of up to 150mph and between them can reach any part of Kent, Surrey or Sussex in under 20 minutes flying time. The highly skilled teams of Specialist Doctors and Critical Care Paramedics effectively bring the equivalent of an A&amp;E department to the scene of an incident and can transport patients to the most appropriate specialist unit or nearest major hospital in a fraction of the time taken by land ambulance. </span></p> <p><span>Please give what you can - just to make the old party-girl suffer the 26.2 miles ....</span></p> <p><span>Thank you so much!</span></p>
