We did it!!!!! We all completed the race agreeing that the 12 mile marker to the finish line was the hardest of all. With drummers, pipers, even some Bangra music and supportive locals offering oranges, drinks and verbal encouragement cheering us on it was great to be part of something so big and an experience shared. The weather was on our side, overcast with rain, ideal in keeping you cool.
It is hard to believe that it was only 16 weeks since we decided to enter the race. It was certainly a challenge for Ginny and Nan as this was their first 1/2 marathon road race. However for all three of us running for charity makes the hard work all worth while. We now have our eyes on the Jedburgh 1/2 on 25 October.
