I have decided to challenge myself to do something to raise money for a charity that I feel passionate about.  Through Have a Heart (my local Radio Station) I have decided to take part in a Trek across the Great Wall of China in March 2013.  All the sponsorship that I raise will be donated to their nominated charity ChildLine.

ChildLine is a free phone and online service offering support and advice for any child who has nowhere left to turn.

I have joined a team of 30 other volunteers who will be trekking up the ancient steps of the Great Wall and passing through local villages over the course of 9 days.

This trip will prove to be a real challenge both mentally and physically and over the coming months I shall be going through a training plan to get myself prepared as best I can for this trek
