Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

On 3rd February, Glenavon player Mark Farren lost his brave battle against cancer after trying to beat the disease for a third time. The former Derry City star was diagnosed with the grade four brain tumour, the third time in six years that Mark had received an brain tumour diagnosis.

Mark joined Glenavon in the 2013/14 season and scored 15 goals in just 10 games! While his time at Glenavon was short, during that time his infectious personality won him many admirers.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated this devastating disease; so please support me in my fundraising for this very deserving cause.
