Ulverston Triathlon · 9 September 2012

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

16.5km done on the bike today - thats over half way

Updated on Jul 26th 2012 at 8:22 AM from the JustGiving API

500m done in 20 mins for the first swim train and 18.5km in 47 mins for the cycle!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 9th September I'm doing the swim (400m) and cycle (28km) parts of the Ulverston Triathlon (Rach is doing the running part because I'm useless!). I'm not a strong swimmer (last year I did the swim section in just under 15 minutes and doing breaststroke) and I haven't been on a bike for the last decade.

I'm taking part in the event to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society and in memory of both my Grandma and Grandad who I have lost to Alzheimer's in the last decade. Azheimer's is a cruel disease and the more that can be done to reduce it's impact upon both the sufferers and their families the better.

Any donation is greatly appreciated and is for a brilliant cause, no amount is too small!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my page!
