The Mission - To run the Snowdonia Marathon on October 24th 2009 and raise as much money as possible for Genesis Breast Cancer Charity.
Why Genesis? - My wife Jo was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008 like far too many women in the UK. She had to undergo an operation and various chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments to treat it. I want to raise money for Genesis as they are dedicated to prevention of breast cancer and have already built a Breast Cancer unit at Wythenshawe hospital. If I can raise money to help Genesis to prevent other women from going through what Jo did, that's got to be a good thing!
Why the Snowdonia Marathon? - It's a challenge, very scenic, a bit hilly (1,900 ft of climb) and I've never run a marathon before. But it will be worth it for this fantastic charity and the work they do. So please support me and Genesis if you can. Thank you very much
