As you know last year we lost our lovely mum to breast cancer after a four year battle.  During mum's last few months the support of the Marie Curie nurses enabled us to fulfill mum's wish of being cared for at home. They are simply amazing and made a tremendous difference to our family at a really difficult time.

Gilly and I aren't runners but we wanted to give something back to Marie Curie and running the Great North Run on the weekend of mum's anniversary will definitely be a real challenge for us both.
