Sidley London Revolution 2022 · 1 October 2022 to 2 October 2022 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

I first met Ricki on what became the first of many nights out together, on a Geography social, where we bonded over writing on/colouring in each others tops (it was a Geography degree, we had a stereotype to live up to!). We later lived together in our final year of university, which only strengthened our friendship further, albeit with a fair bit of good-natured FIFA rage throw in between lectures, drinks, and his part-time food delivery job.

Sadly, despite his resolve and unbelievable humour through some truly dark days, he lost his fight with cancer aged 25 in 2017.

What could not be faulted in his final days were the facilities he found himself in, supported by the Teenage Cancer Trust. Everything in the ward from the private rooms, the tireless nurses, even things like a Jukebox in the games room, truly they were second-to-none. This charity continues to do incredible work today and it's my privilege to be wearing their cycling jersey for this ridiculous 157 mile challenge.

Please give what you can to allow them to continue their great work.
