Herts Charity Challenge - Triathlon · 6 October 2013 ·

5.4 million children across the world are currently trapped in orphanages – even though 80% of them have family they could live with if they had the right support. Orphanages harm children, depriving them of love and exposing them to abuse. Your support helps us get children to back to family.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As the result of a chat one afternoon in the office, someone came up with the crazy idea of entering a Sprintathlon. Somehow, the rest of us were coaxed into joining the team and so here we are.

On Sunday 6 October 2013 we will be taking on the challenge of a Triathlon in support of Hope and Homes for Children. This is a charity that is making a real difference to the lives of orphaned and abandoned children across Central and Eastern Europe and Africa.

The triathlon will be no easy feat, a 400m swim followed by a 21km cycle and a 5km run.

Most of us are relatively confident about one part or another of this event but now we have entered and its really happened, all three are gradually becoming terrifying.

We would therefore very much appreciate your support. We have each pledged to raise £500 so our group target is £2,000

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Any support is very much appreciated and don'y forget your gift aid

Let the training begin!

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Rhiannon, Chris, Anthony and Joe
