VSO is an international development organisation that brings people together to share skills, build capabilities, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all. Everyday, VSO volunteers are working to empower people living in some of the world’s most marginalised communities.

Story

Claire and I are going to work in Cambodia for two years through the charity Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO). As part of us going away, I'm hoping to raise £1000 for VSO by cycling from one side of Scotland to the other - and back again.

VSO is a phenomenal charity that sends skilled folk (like me!) to share their knowledge and experience with people living in the poorest places on earth. By working with them, we can find lasting solutions and change lives forever.

I'm going to be in training by cycling through the wind and rain and dodging lorries in London. It would be great to know that whilst I'm playing chicken on the road and dreaming (!) of cycling in snowy Scotland in late January that the little red bar on the right there is shooting upwards.

Thanks folks

Gordon
