Story

The Gosforth branch of Sainsbury's have been working closely with St Oswald's Hospice for the last year. We have already donated goods and cash to the hospice to the value of £10,000.00.

Various events have included bag packs, fancy dress, raffles, tombolas and some of the staff even ran the Great North run in 2009 (www.justgiving.co.uk/sainsburysandfriends - to see how we did).

We thought the easiest and most efficient way of raising  money for St Oswald's  this year, is by having this Justgiving page.

Whenever we are planning a "major" fundrasing activity we will update this page with photo's and the details..

So far we have the following planned activities:

*  Graham Moody - our Dry Goods Manager is growing his hair (or what little he has) for St oswald's.

*  Martin Quinnin & Sam Page - are doing the Great North Run in 2010

*  A team of colleagues taking part in the Midnight Walk.

* A team of 10 people will be competing in the "It's a Knockout competition" St Oswald's are orgainising in August.

We would also like to thank a wide range of local groups who have held bag packs to raise money, not just for St Oswald's but also for a selection of other charitable causes including World Challenge, Scout's -Tall Ships Race, Amateur Dramatics, Rugby Teams, Wildflife projects, Orphanages and a whole load more! - So THANK YOU to all of you who have taken part and raised money for the hospice.

Thanks for reading (and hopefully donating some money - and dont forget gift aid!!!!)
