Story
Norway has been conquered! Again! We arrived about 8.30pm on the 27th August. Despite the icy rain and headwind we made good time until we closed the distance down to 20km.
Shaun got two punctures in quick succession which didn't help morale in the rain and wind but we soon found that the terrain smoothed and we were able to pick up the pace and managed to push through the last 20km in a much improved pace.
On our arrival we found that we were now celebrities in the small town of Stenungsund. We'd made the local newspaper there after stopping there for lunch on the first day.
Thanks to Northern Marine Management, Concordia Maritime, Brantas, Stena Bulk, Herbalife for providing some of the equipment that made this trip possible.
We've now raised over £7000 including offline donations but there is still time for people to donate to the cause.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Children's Hospice Association Scotland, (CHAS) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
PS Douglas and Mauro have been keeping blogs which have pictures and updates about the training we've been doing, have a read, some of the posts are quite funny, and some of the panoramas are amazing!
