Shooting Star Children's Hospices is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, we are here to make every moment count.

Story

Over the weekend of the 22-23 September, I will be joining the Lady Eleanor Holles and Hampton School rowing squads, along with a number of their parents, to row down the Thames from Radley near Oxford to the Millennium Boathouse in Hampton.  120+ rowers in 20+ boats covering a huge 80 miles - we will have to pass through almost 30 locks! The weekend commences with a 5:00am start on Saturday 22nd and finishes at 7:30 pm on Sunday 23rd of September. We hope to complete our row in under 29 hours across 2 days. It’s definitely not going to be an easy task but this amazing charity would really appreciate any donations.

We’re aiming to raise enough to pay for a nurse for an entire year for our local charity Shooting Star Chase, which promises invaluable hospice care for babies and children with life-limiting conditions.
