Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

At 5,895m high, Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of the largest volcanoes ever to break through the Earth’s crust. My challenge is to reach its summit in just 9 days!  As you can imagine this is once in a lifetime opportunity and I hope you can support my challenge and charity!

I will be scaling Kilimanjaro to raise much needed funds for Pendleside Hospice.  The hospice provides medical and nursing care and emotional support to adults suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.  Pendleside receives just 25% of the funds it needs from the local primary care trust and relies on the support of people like me to allow them to continue the fantastic work they do.

Lucy Moorhouse will be accompanying me on the trek and she is raising money for another local hospice, Manorlands.

We have a long way to go but donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now,

Thank you.
