Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

At Activity Alliance, we believe that everyone belongs in sport and physical activity. Yet, disabled people remain the least active in our society. Our strategy, We All Belong, drives meaningful change by tackling the biggest challenges disabled people face when trying to be active in sport.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

As some of you know my job involves trying to develop sporting opportunities for people with disabilities! Through that I'm lucky enough to see what a positive difference it makes to their lives as well as the courage & determination displayed by them to participate in something that many of us just take for granted! Not only that, but at elite level they produce feats of speed, strength, stamina and skill that most of us can only dream about!

The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) provide people with disabilities an opportunity to display their talents to whatever level that may be and get people to focus on their abilities rather than disabilities! Taking part in their events has often been the first step along the way to becoming Paralympians as is the case for many of the athletes you'll see in 2012!

Running, walking & no doubt limping my way to the finish line of the London Marathon in 2012 will be the hardest challenge of my life! However it will be more than worth it to raise money for EFDS & provide opportunities for people with disabilities to achieve their personal bests, while enjoying all the brilliant things that sport can bring to their lives!

Any contribution you can make to help achieve my target will be much appreciated both by me and all the people with disabilities that it will assist in the future!

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks

Graeme :-)
