Story

Greetings

I decided to celebrate my upcoming 60 birthday in April by running a marathon, and was lucky enough to secure an unencumbered place in the first ever Milton Keynes run on 29 April.

Now I’ve decided to try to raise some money for a worthy cause – The Human Givens Foundation.

A main aim of this charity is to support research into how best to treat mental ill-health and the relief of persons suffering from mental illness.

This organisation has my support because they have a simple, no-nonsense approach to understanding what it means to be human and how this knowledge can be used to free people from conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders or trauma. The human givens approach is also being used in family welfare, education, organisational management and diplomacy.

Further information about the approach can be found on the website of The Human Givens Institute.

So, please have a look at the links above and, if you wish to give a helping hand, add your support to my page on http://www.justgiving.com/Graham-A-Wood

Many thanks

Graham Wood
