Story

This is in addition to The B2B ride - if that trip worried me this one is really got me a tad nervous/worried - but i am sure I will get through it having learnt a lot from the ride last May - only 3 months ago!!! well I look forward to your support _ I had raised £1600 to date so have targetted an additional £400 towards the Props

This ride instigated by a fellow ex rugby player @ TRFC - after a few beers (why is it always after a few beer's see below)

Following the death of my wife Margaret in Jan 2009, I took up cycling and I rode in four events in 2009, raising money for a number of charities.  Cycling has given me a focus during a difficult period of my life. It was after after a few beers following "The Props" v Thornbury Vandals charity rugby match on Boxing day 2009 that the conversation turned from rugby to fundraising, to cycling, and to the suggestion of a sponsored cycle "Bristol to Bordeuax."  The thought of a long cycle then seemed a good idea and an advenuture at the time. Well I have moved on!!!

So I'm signed up and the time to get in the saddle is fast approaching!  The doubts are setting in about my abilty to last the pace & distance - but it's all in a good cause!  Props provide opportunities and support to young people with serious learning disabilities in the Bristol area.
