Story
I'm running the Milton Keynes marathon as I want to raise much needed funds for the Winter Night Shelter's Unity Park Station project.
Homelessness in Milton Keynes is a real and growing issue, The charity Shelter estimates that one in 110 people in MK are currently sleeping rough, and there's been a 26% increase in the number of homeless people in the past year.
The Winter Night Shelter already provides supervised overnight accommodation to homeless and vulnerable people who would otherwise be rough sleeping during the extreme winter months of each year.
During 2018 they will be developing and launching Unity Park Station, and converting the old bus station into a facility that will help provide vital support services to the vulnerable and those at risk of homelessness.
With your help we can tackle this issue and make a difference.
