Many thanks for visiting my justgiving page.  I am raising money for the Sarah Groves foundation which supports local Guernsey based childrens charities.  I have signed up to take part in the Tour De Sez 2018 (TDS 2018) which is a bike ride from St Malo to Amsterdam.  The ride will take place over 10 days with 7 / 8 days cycling - almost 100 miles per day.  The total distance is about 750miles...! 

My first challenge is to get my Lycra on again and join the Guernsey M.A.M.I.L's  gulp!!  Training is going well and from not having cycled in over a year, regular >rides of 30 miles have taken place. 

Every person participating in the TDS 2018 has to raise a substantial sum of money.  With 100 riders there is of course competition to raise the cash.  My main way of raising funds is to build a bike-powered boat in an attempt to "cycle" from Guernsey to Herm. Can I do it  - not sure to be honest!  it's a long way and I have to build the boat!  I am aiming to do the challenge on 3rd September so it's "game on". 

This superb cause raises money for the Sarah Groves foundation which supports local childrens charities.  Sarah Groves was tragically murdered during a year travelling the world.  The causes that the trustees of the charity have chosen are all things that would be close to Sarah's heart.
