Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Everyone has a friend ,colleague or family member who has been through the hell of Cancer. To raise money for Cancer Research Wales I am doing a 100 mile cycle ride from Cardiff to Avonmouth via the old Severn Bridge and back.This is just over 100 miles my previous longest ride is 60 miles so this is a personal challenge for me.

Hi  I completed the 100 miler on Tuesday 13th October 09 ,a perfect day dry,cool and no wind. It didnt go exactly to plan as the minor road through the Gwent Levels was closed due to it collapsing.I was a a bit peed off to have to backtrack up to the main road about 4 or 5 miles.

 

I carried on using the main road between Newport and Magor then had lunch at Severnbeach having covered 55 miles.I didnt carry on into Avonmouth as planned as it would have made the overall distance about 110 miles and I didnt want to do that.

 

Return ride was uneventfull stayed on the main roads till Newport then along the Peterstone coast road into Cardiff,through Tremorfa to avoid Rover way which is a dodgy road on a bike.

 

Rolled back ionto Cardiff Bay YC with the cycle computer on 100.3 miles tired but very happy .

 

Many thanks to those who have supported me with donations to Cancer Research.I see this as the only way to fight back at Cancer ,who knows ,one day maybe all types of cancer will be treatable.
