Pedal for Scotland 2010 · 12 September 2010 ·

Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Hi, and thanks for visiting my charity page.

This page is open for online sponsorship/donations until around 10th November. I can also take cash.

On Sunday 12th September, I cycled from Glasgow to Edinburgh in 6 hours, in aid of Alzheimer Scotland.

Details about the event can be found at http://pedalforscotland.org/the_ride.htm

At 51 miles, this route is equivalent to roughly 2 marathons.

My bike was 1 of 4 folding bikes on the day. These bikes all have 16-18" wheels, so they're 2-4" smaller than BMX wheels.

Many thanks for all the online sponsors, and thanks to Ian, Norman, Donald and Jim at work for their £5/each cash sponsorship offline.

Special thanks to my family for the matching donation and support.

Thanks to the organisers and everyone I met for the good company and making it a fun day out.

Thanks also to the atmosphere for letting the sun in for a day. :-)

Don't worry, this site is safe, the Government can chip in, and they take all kinds of online payments.

"Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity."

Thank you.
