Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I did a similar ride 2 years ago, and at the end threw my bike onto the beach and told everyone never to put me near it again.

Well I've decided to do it again, to support a group of other riders cycling the 148 miles across the country, and the toughest roads in the UK, to raise money for KEEPTHEBEAT. We are riding in the Name of Harvey Lear, a 7 year old boy who tragically passed away in 2011 aged 7.

I have prepared perfectly for this by being stood on the training field for the last few months !!

I am Patron of this small charity and regularly see the support they give to the many children, families and professionals affected by Congenital Heart Defects. I know Albert Tansey very well - he is #IRONMAN (he's the boy inspired the charity, and also had a Heart Transplant in September last year).

I've seen his struggle very closely over the last 5 & 1/2 years, and this has ,motivated me to try and help other children like him by putting myself through challenges I'm not naturally built for.

If you think you can help me out raise some much needed funds donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many Thanks WIG
