East Lancashire Hospice provides specialist, supportive and end of life care for patients and their families from Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and Ribble Valley who are coping with a life-limiting illness. To enable us to continue this work, we need to raise over £4.5 million every year.

Story

One of the whackiest events ever.  Grown folk wrestling in fancy dress in a pool full of gravy.  Part of the 'Pennine Lancashire Festival of Food and Culture' http://www.penninelancashirefestivals.com/.  Last years event was a fantastic day with wrestler battling it out for this bizarre world title.  People came from across the country to the Rose n Bowl at Stacksteads to witness wanna be champions battle it out in the gravy.  Last years winners were 'Mad Dog' Alias Danny Carr and 'Stone Cold Kim' Alias Kim Hodgson, both of which will be there to defend their titles.

This is a fun event and we are still looking for competitors...if you are interested please contact Andy Holt On 01706 231029 or Gravy@rsireland.co.uk or Jon Lowe at The Rose and Bowl on 01706 879555.

Last year we raised over £3,000 for East Lancashire Hospice and this year we are hoping to top that.  Its easy to donate or setup your own page for sponsorship via the East Lancashire Hospices 'just giving page'.

Please Help us by Donating now and come along to the Gravy Wrestling Championship on the 31st August.
