Next summer, I have decided to take on the Mongol Rally; driving from the UK to Ulan-Ude in Siberia, in a second hand shopping trolley of a car.
To underline the challenge, we will taking a car designed essential for school runs and shopping trips, through mountain passes, desert roads and no roads at all! To top it all off I am still in the process of learning to drive. It is my intention to keep all updated through blogs, pics and vids with goings during the preparations as well as once we hit the road.
I am doing this to raise money for Dementia UK, who who fund the training and provision of Admiral nurses to support Dementia patients and their families. Having experienced Dementia first hand, helping to care for my grandma for 5 years, I can personally vouch for how important this service is and with the ever increasing life expectancy I can see this becoming even more important in the future.
