The Raven Trust supports the development of community eye health care in northern Malawi, mainly through mission hospitals at Livingstonia, Embangweni and Ekwendeni. We sponsor medical training and supply medical equipment.

Story

Hello all! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This page is for the Raven Trust - my fund raising is split equally between two pages, giving you the chance to donate to the charity of your choice or equally between the two. Find the Jubilee Sailing Trust at www.justgiving.com/GreenwoodDancejubilee

As you may already know from my facebook page, <http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/group.php?gid=122825084402024&ref=ts> I am raising donations in memory of my Grandfather for the two charities he was involved in right throughout his life; The Raven Trust, a project based in Malawi in Africa working and sourcing materials directly to local communities, including everything from hospital equipment and agricultural tools, to football boots. The second is The Jubilee Sailing Trust, a great charity set up to provide life-enriching sailing experiences for everybody, able-bodied and disabled.

So what am I doing that is going to part you with your lovely cash? If I can reach both charities' targets, I will perform the song and dance routine Mein Herr from the film Cabaret at this year's Oscars - the University of Leicester Theatre's annual awards evening. As Nick succinctly put it, it will be me, a short dress, and a chair. There will be lots of spectators and an awful lot of camera phones, and I'm not the worlds best singer nor am I used to dancing around in front of crowds in short clothes (no matter what the rumors say...). Obviously the best seats in the house are for those coming to the Oscars, but for everyone else I will have my video camera filming the whole thing!

So if you would like to see some proper entertainment on June 22, please please please donate. Every 50p, quid or fiver will make the world of difference. Every penny will go directly to the charities so they can continue improving people's life experiences. And you get a performance at the end of it. What's not to like?

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you to all in advance,

Sarah xx
