Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, i have taken on the challenge of the 2012 Virgin London Marathon in memory of my father-in-law, Tony Crawford. Tony passed on just before Christmas in 2010. Right to the end he faced his brain tumour with courage and dignty. His loss has left an enourmous hole in the family.

I am therefore running in aid of Brain Tumour UK. Any money you are able to donate, no matter how small, will be used to support those affected by a brain tumour. This will include personalised support available online, on the phone, by email and through support groups. Scientific research by Brain Tumour UK will also improve the quality of life for patients and identify better treatments.

If you want to read more about the real difference to peoples lives that your donation will make, please see the 2010 Impact Report produced by the Brain Tumour UK.

A number of you very kindly donated when i ran the BUPA Great South Run in 2010 for The Royal Marsden Hospital, where Tony was being treated. As a result of your generosity The Royal Marsden has now opened a £16 million extension to a leading centre for children and young people with cancer.

98 pence in every pound spent by the Brain Tumour UK is provided by donations. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you so very much!
