Why Lands End to John O'Groats? Well, it's a personal challenge and an opportunity that doesn't come a long often. When asked if I would like to join a small group undertaking the ride in July 2013, I leapt at the chance. Not only for the ride but an opportunity to raise money for a great cause.

In summer 2012 a very close family member, a life-long cyclist, suffered a major stroke whilst abroad. On his return the Acute Stroke Unit at Nottingham City Hospital cared for him and his family until he made great progress to be able to go home. It is for this reason that I intend to fund raise for the unit so that they may continue to make a difference to those who suffer from stroke.
