For those of you that don't already know, the Make A Wish Foundation is a charity that grant the final wish of children with terminal or incurable illnesses. It costs them approximately four thousand pounds to grant a wish and I would like to try and raise enough money to be able to grant a child their final wish! These children will not grow up to have the same opportunities and choices that we do and many of them face more pain and challenges in a single day than most of us will experience in our lifetime, however they still keep smiling with the innocence and sincerity that only a child can!
Please find it in your hearts to give generously as you will be giving a child the greatest gift of all..... Happiness!
This is the first marathon that I have ever run and after speaking to a lot of seasoned marathon runners I have been informed that to run a sub four and a half hour marathon for my first time I would be doing well! In an effort to raise more money for Make A Wish I shall be attempting to run it in three and a half hours! Assuming that I achieve my goal I would like to ask you all to donate twenty five pence per mile in addition to your original sponsorship.
