St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. We rely on the generous support of our community to raise the £10million we need each year to fund our services.

Story

Observer reporter Greg Miles is taking on the London Marathon to try to raise £2,000 for St Wilfrid's Hospice, in Chichester.

In a nutshell the hospice relies on public support for 90 per cent of its annual running costs of £4.8m, it's not a part of the NHS, and provides all its services free of charge, so it really needs your help to keep providing all of its fantastic services.

St Wilfrid's has been in Chichester since 1987 and over the years has grown in size a lot since then, it now has 14 beds,  inpatient unit with day care facilities, an education unit, a hospice at home service, and nurse specialist based in the community.
