It all started with a lack of razors and a dream...a dream of uniting the nations through a much extended mustache month. And no, it was not just an excuse to get out of shaving for 4 months...it's an effort to raise money for one of the leading causes of cancer in men.
We've chosen to donate to the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation. The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation has two aims.
1. To promote independent worldwide research into all aspects of prostate cancer
2. To spread the crucial knowledge gathered from that research as far afield as possible, via an internationally recognised forum, attended by the world’s top prostate cancer experts.
So, the basics of how we will be doing this is that the shaving begins on February 14th (two week before the end of the month). How we shave is up to you. For every 20 pounds you donate, you can choose a beard or facial hair style for us. On the 14th, Scott and I will each choose 3 styles (at random) from all suggestions and figure out how to narrow our beard down according to those styles about every 4-5 days (we will make sure there are plenty of pictures on the website!) until the end of the month. In order to make sure we get your suggestion, as you donate, make sure to leave a comment on this page as to what style you would like to see us sport during the week (one suggestion per 20 pounds).
