Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Although I have enjoyed cycling for many years, this will be my first 100 mile ride taking place along much of the 2012 Olympic road race route. It takes place on 2nd August 2015. I have chosen to raise money in the process for the Blind Veterans UK charity. A long standing charity since 1915 celebrating its 100 year anniversary.

This charity has supported servicemen who have had serious eye injury or blindness as a result of serving the UK from the First World War until the present day. My own family receives great support from the charity as my Father in Law is registered blind and the help he receives enables a quality of life that would not otherwise be possible.

I would be very grateful for any support you can give. To add to the pressure I am aiming to complete the ride, including the infamous Box hill in under 6 hours, an average speed of 17 mph !
