This year I have got involved with the Kenyan Orphan Project, a charity which does amazing work supporting the health and education for orphans and the vunerable in one of the most deprieved parts of Africa.

KOP was founded by 3 students in 2001 who travelled with a group to Kenya and worked on the building of a community hospital. Ever since groups of students have raised huge amounts of money each year for KOP before travelling out to work on various projects such as hospitals, health care centres, primary schools, street centres and orphanages. Now in its 12th year KOP has been involved in the building and support of 14 such projects in Kenya.

This summer I will be travelling with several other students to try and continue the brilliant work of this charity and we are looking to help raise as much money as possible for it so its great work can continue so any donations big or small will be much appreciated!
