The Laura Crane Trust became Project Youth Cancer on World Cancer Day 2023 and supports teenagers and young adults with cancer, through treatment and beyond. Project Youth Cancer invests in the future of cancer patients through age-targeted research and offers a range of mental wellbeing support.

Story

Hey, thanks for checking out my page;

I'm biking to Berlin in June to raise money for the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust. The Trust funds research to improve the quality of life for young cancer patients, both during and in the aftermath of their illness. Currently it is the only charity that funds medical research specifically into cancer affecting teenagers and young adults. Support is offered to all of the hospitals across the UK, irrespective of location, which treat teenage cancer (the number of which stands only at 29).

All contributions no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated and will hopefully numb some of the pain I inflict upon myself in the process of making my way east across Europe. However, I'm certain that the pain I experience throughout the first part of June will be nothing in comparison to combating cancer. So I encourage all of my family, friends and charitable strangers to give generously!

N.B:

Donations in value of over £50 may provide some form of fancy dress to be worn by myself at some point throughout the trip. Think crazy, whacky and downright embarrassing!
