“Yes, we are at it again!”  The annual Grimshaw brothers marathon fundraiser is soon upon us.  This year is our seventh marathon and fourth Paris marathon together.  We have been busy training all winter for this one and hope we can beat our personal times!

 

We would ask you all again to put your hands in your deep pockets to help a very worthy cause and help us continue our fundraising for Breast Cancer Care.  Thanks  to your generous donations over the last 6 years we have managed to raise over £21000.00, which is fantastic!  We feel honoured to have been able to help many people who have been affected by breast cancer and hope to continue doing so for many years to come.

The charity has helped Angela (Grahames wife) and more recently Karen, Angies' sister through her traumatic time and it is our way of saying thank you for all the support the Charity, Hospitals and the staff that work in them have done. With fundraisers like Mike, and myself it gives hope for all Cancer sufferers helping to fund the amazing research with a goal to make this illness a thing of the past.

Without them, may be Angela and Karen would not be here today...... and their sons and daughters would possibly not have their Mothers here today like so many other unfortunate families.

 

 

Grahame & Mike are running the Paris Marathon on the 21April 2013 and The VIRGIN London Marathon 07 Apr 2013.

We are both doing races up to the event. Mike has already done a 20 KM run in Hong Kong and a Half Marathon, I have got Wokingham  and Reading Half Marathons lined up in early 2013.

We have again decided not to pressure our selves with times, but I would love to be around 3 hrs 30 to 3 hrs 45 and mike around 4 hrs.

Mind you, if you persuade us otherwise with your wonderful donations, we will try our best to accommodate within reason.
