Story

Four friends are visiting 100 sports grounds in 100 hours to raise money for St John's Hospice in Lancaster.

Adam Lord, John Ferguson, James Dick and David Murphy will start at Lancaster City's Giant Axe on March 6 before finishing on March 10 at Morecambe's match at home to Hereford.

The trip takes place in the Football League's Help the Hospices week where all 92 clubs do something dedicated to their local hospice.

The cause is close to Adam's heart after his dad, Simon, died at the end of September following a three-year battle with cancer.

The Hospice at Home team ensured Simon could spend the final days of his life in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his family.

Adam and his mum Lynne, cannot thank the team for their work enough and as a result Adam vowed to take on this challenge to raise as much money as possible for a very worthy cause.

Following the trip, the boys will attend the hospice's Fire and Ice Ball at Morecambe's Globe Arena on the night of March 10 to auction some of the items they intend to get from the grounds they'll visit.

St John's Hospice does amazing work and every penny counts. Please donate as much as you can.
