Dear friends,

 

Climbing the Shard or walking over hot coals were some possible fundraising ideas, but I realized it would be much more fun to buddy up with my mates for the 2013, “RunThrough Brixton,” 10k race.

 

On June 9th, I will be running for Breathing Matters, funding the Centre for Respiratory Research.

 

Their research focuses on Interstitial Lung disease and Lung Infection, which lead to unbearable levels of fever, pleuritic chest pain and breathlessness.

 

My beloved sister-in-law, Marianne, would be the best person to tell you about this having contracted the illness. But after a brave fight it got the best of her on May 6, 2013.

 

In her memory, help me support the research & all the Mariannes out there and their families going through the same ordeal with peace, dignity & hope.
