We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. We have all been moved by stories of those suffering, recovering and sadly dying from cancer. I see first hand at the University of Southampton, where I work,  how research can help develop new treatments and improve peoples quality of life. That's why I will be undertaking another cycling challenge.

Inspired Living’s 2016 challenge is to ride 1842 km (1140 miles) to Rome. A total of 41 riders with a support team of 8 will cross the English Channel, ride through France, go over the Alps and then cruise down to Rome via Turin, Bologna and Florence. Due to time constraints (honest), I will join in Lyon and go over the Alps, riding over 1000km down to Rome. All riders are covering their own travel and accommodation costs so that all the money raised can go directly to CRUK.

This is the fifth continental ride organised by Inspired Living. Through cycling and other events, we have so far raised £230,000 for CRUK, which is just over a quarter of our target!
