Having enjoyed the experience so much in the New York marathon I have decided to carry on with my marathon running career and have entered the Paris Marathon in April. So after a months break from running I'm back in training! I'm told that the Paris course is flatter than New York so will see if I can break that magical 4 hour barrier at my second attempt.

I have decided to carry on raising money for the 'Get Kids Going' charity www.getkidsgoing.com so for anybody who sponsored me last time thanks otherwise any new donations will be gratefully accpted.

I will keep you updated as to my progress.

Kind Regards, Guy

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Well I have reached the big 50 so all that is left is to finish the New York Marathon! The training has had its ups and downs after a achilles heel problem but at the moment I'm in full training with only 4 weeks to go so baring any last minute injuries I will be on the starting line.

As some of you may be aware I have entered to run my first ever full Marathon in New York, in November, when I will have reached the magical age of 50!

I have watched the London Marathon for years saying it would be great to complete a race like this and have finally plucked up the courage to enter one. I chose New York due to the fact that it has the highest number of spectators to cheer me on, to ensure that I finish! I have only taken up running in the last 12 months, so this will be a great challenge and in order to make it even more worthwhile I'm running for the charity 'Get Kids Going'. The organisation helps to get disabled children into sport - further information about this charity can be found on the following website www.getkidsgoing.com.

As this is my first charity event , and you all know that I love to set and beat targets, I would like to raise at least £2,000 for this deserving charity. My other target, if possbile, is to break the 4 hour mark - I have a feeling the charity number may be the easier one to make!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Any contribution will be gratefully appreciated, so thanks in advance for your support and I will keep you updated on my progress.
