Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In the spirit of an awkward Pom in Australia, I have adapted the annual Movember concept, decided to grow a beard instead of a moustache, and have opted for my own charity.
Thanks to Bill Hutchinson, who is also gamely going through this torment with me and has agreed to direct people to this site. You are a true gent sir, for which I shall buy you a beer!
My choice is the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Trust. The DMD Trust raises funds for research into cures for Duchenne & Becker Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne is the UK's second most common inherited life-threatening disease. The reason for this is that my 7 year old son Jack (pictured above) was diagnosed with Duchennes in May this year, so as a father I have to try and help however I can - and growing facial hair is an energy efficient way to do that!!!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
