<p>With a peak at 5,895 metres or 19,341 feet above sea level, Mt Kilimanjaro is Africas highest peak and will take an 8 day trek to reach the summit and back.</p> <p>On the 31st August 2012 we shall be taking on this challenge which as anyone who saw the sport relief effort will know it is no mean feat. Roman Abramovich collapsed attempting this in 2009 so it will be a test or mental and physical stamina.</p> <p>Whilst this is something i have wanted to do for a while, it gives the opportunity to support a charity that i have fundraised for in the past in Australia. The Fred Hollows foundation ( www.hollows.org.uk ) provides simple cataract operations across the globe.
