St Wilfrid's Hospice - Charity Paddle Race 2009 · 15 August 2009 ·

St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. We rely on the generous support of our community to raise the £10million we need each year to fund our services.

Story

THE PADDLE RACE -

Firstly a big thanks to all who so generously donated.

The race was tough since the wind which was forecast, materialised in earnest. It was pretty much in our faces and together with the chop and waves made the going pretty difficult. We were all glad to finish in about double the predicted time. Not quite sure where I came in the order, maybe 6th, it doesn't matter really, what matters is that we did it and we raised a fair bit of much needed cash for the Hospice.

Thanks again

Guy
