Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We will be cycling from London to Paris in support of the Young Peoples Trust for the Environment , a four day adventure commencing on 23rd June 2010

We can't wait to take on the challenge of this classic journey. Four days of charity cycling through the urban and rural sides of England and France will take us from the centre of London, through the rolling Kent countryside, across the channel, along quiet French roads and into the heart of Paris - after a mere 304 miles finishing at the Eiffel Tower!

Founded in 1982, the Young People's Trust for the Environment is a charity which aims to encourage young people's understanding of the environment and of the need for sustainability. The YPTE gives young people a real awareness of environmental problems, such as disappearing wildlife, the pollution of soil, air and water, the destruction of rainforests and wetlands, the spread of desert regions and the misuse of the oceans.Their methods aim to provide balanced views to take into account the realities of the modern world, sustainable development - industry with less impact - is the way forward. Your donation will make a big difference by supporting their environmental awareness programme in schools throughout the UK.
