Interserve Construction West Midlands High Peak Charity Bike Ride Mark II · 30 June 2017

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

After years of abusing the two wheeled fraternity I have become somewhat of a hypocrite and recently bought a bike in a bid to get fit/see what my feet look like again (edited to feet for a clean version).

For the second successive year Interserve West Midlands are doing a charity bike ride in the Peak District, this year taking place on 30th June where we aim to cycle 50 miles. This is obviously something of a challenge mainly so we have to work hard for the money and personally a challenge I have taken up based on the fact I have cycled a combined total of 35 miles over the last 25 years.

More importantly though it is for a worthy charity and to make a difference for the many poorly children who have been dealt a poor start in life and in some case a short lived one.

Working at Interserve, our selected charity is the Birmingham Children's Hospital and we are currently building a new clinical block for them under their Next Generation Facilities programme which I am partly involved with.

The vision of Birmingham Childrens Hospital is to become the leading provider of Childrens Healthcare in the UK, delivering a full range of local, specialised and highly specialised services, in a hospital without walls or limits. It makes progress towards this by delivering excellent care today, constantly striving to make it better, and by shaping excellent care for tomorrow. As an organisation it is recognised as a high performing NHS Foundation Trust that has continued to grow in terms of its reputation, the breadth of its service offer and importantly the associated demand for its services.   In order to be able to respond to this changing landscape it is essential that the organisation is able to invest and develop new facilities to support this so that it can continue to meet its future ambitions.

Many thanks if you are able to assist me in contributing to this cause.

Best Regards

Guy
